Let’s face it, he’s done more good for the world than any “nice” character. A huge business change like that would have lost mega money and support, but nobody in the series sees that because the gaming company is ultimately still rolling in the dough.

I think the only characters mature enough to see that are Yugi, Anzu, and maybe even Honda, everyone except Joey. I think they realize there’s a difference between a person’s actions and a person’s words and that’s why Yugi and Anzu are always trying to convince Kaiba that he is a nice guy. I’m mean, it’s almost like he’s in the closet about being a good guy and Yugi and Anzu are like, “Boy, no good guy risks his life to save his little brother, you are totally a good guy.”
